Thank you for joining in the Salfords and Sidlow celebrations

Salfords and Sidlow Parish Council are delighted we will be supporting our community to celebrate the Kings Coronation.

The Coronation of His Majesty The King will took place on Saturday 6th May, 2023.The Coronation Ceremony was at Westminster Abbey, London, and was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.The Ceremony saw His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort. The Coronation reflected the monarch’s role today and looked towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.


The bank holiday provided an opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate tthe coronation.

The celebrations included a Thanksgiving service at Christ the King, an event at Salford Social Club and a separate event in Sidlow.


Christ the King Thanksgiving


Christ the King Church, Honeycrock Lane held a family thanksgiving service to celebrate the King's Coronation
followed by tea and scones.


Salfords Social Club community celebration


The Social Club held a community picnic. There will be various entertainment for all the family including Punch and Judy, bouncy castle, face painting, Safecracker, Jenga, Children's home make crown competition, table tennis and so much more


The Club provided a BBQ, an ice-cream van and sweet stall.

There was live entertainment and many craft stalls and fun for all the family

Sidlow held their Celebration party on the Charrington Estate
