A new consultation was launched in March 2019 on the proposed Main Modifications (MMs) to DMP and residents and the Parish Council are able to make comment. The Inspector has recommended that Main Modifications are likely to be required to make the DMP “sound”. The schedule of proposed Main Modifications has two other documents; an addendum to the Sustainability Appraisal, and a supplemental note relating to Gypsy, Traveller and Travelling Showpersons Site Allocations.

The Parish Council will be reviewing these documents and making comment before the closing date on 18 April 2019.

Following the close of this consultation, comments will be passed to the Inspector for consideration as part of the examination process.

Cllrs Dave Brown and Wayne Clark spoke at the public examiantion hearings in front of the Inspector. They made representation on safeguarded land and Travellers and Gypsy sites.

The Inspector recommended the land at Redhill Aerodrome should not be safeguarded and should remain in the Green Belt.

The documents are available to view on the Borough Council’s website, along with the supporting evidence and information about how to take part.
